where abouts are you then dude.james? gonna be attempting icv clean soon, there's a good how to on here now, but you never know lol. once the car is running nice then yeh, i'll feel like i have a bargain, at the mo though i've nearly already spent £300 on top of the £700, with more to go... so not convinced yet lol

lol no £300 on discs and pads, abs sensor, fuse board, resistor pack and further diagnostics, got more to spend yet though, needs front tyres, maf, and a good full service...
the amp came for £20 from a scrappy with a home made boom box that had square vibe 6x9's in it (70w MIN input lol) - bargain!

i seen a pic on a previous post wiv carpet o the back of the seats??
is this standard.. my original seats had no carpet on the back nor the gti ones i have in now ??? |

Estates came with carpet on the back of the rear seats as standard, I think a few other special models might have come with rear seat carpet too.

I broke a Mk5b Ghia model which had the carpet on the rear of the seats

i found the best way to do it was to feed the red wire though the passenger door where the hinges are there is a little hole, and then you can hide the wire down the side of the car under the plastic kick pannel

remove the dash panel around the clocks , now open your bonnet and drill a hole in the left hand side of the bay and fit grommet. push the cable through next to the heater vent and presto just run it down and to the back of the car . done.
